Bladder cancer signs in the urine sound a warning bell
Bladder cancer is one of the most common cancers, with around 20,500 people in the UK being diagnosed with bladder cancer each year, which equates to 56 people a day.
Bladder cancer does not always lead to many symptoms, which means the disease can progress without you noticing.
Finding blood in the urine is a major sign of bladder cancer that requires a visit to the doctor immediately.
Urine can turn brown due to the presence of blood in it, and it can also be unnoticed and spotty.
And scientists point out that the presence of blood in the urine does not necessarily mean that you have bladder cancer, as it may be a sign of a urinary tract infection or other health problems.
While blood in the urine is one of the main symptoms of bladder cancer, there are other warning signs to watch out for :
- Needing to urinate frequently.
- A burning sensation when urinating.
- Pain in the lower abdomen, sometimes in the stomach or back.
- Feeling tired and unwell.
- Anorexia.
- Bone pain.
