Source: The frigate "Admiral Golovko" will launch "Caliber" and "Onyx" missiles
The Russian "TASS" agency quoted a source close to the Russian Defense Ministry as saying that the "Admiral Golovko" frigate will carry out the launch of "Caliber NK" and "Onyx" missiles in the area of operations of the Russian Northern Fleet.
The source stated that the frigate "Admiral Golovko" arrived at the port of Severomorsk in northern Russia, coming from the Baltic Sea, adding that the aim of its flight was to launch cruise missiles of the type "Caliber NK" and "Onyx" during government tests.
The source added that after launching the missiles, the ship will return to the "Northern Factory" for ships, where it will undergo an examination of its systems and equipment, and then it will be handed over to the Russian war fleet.
Tass indicated that it did not have official confirmation of this information.
On March 31, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the frigate "Admiral Golovko" had arrived at the main base of the Northern Fleet to undergo tests and carry out experimental missile launches in the Barents Sea.
